Summer Strength & Conditioning Camp 2026

This summer, Great Hearts Lakeside will offer a variety of athletic camps for our scholar-athletes. In keeping with the mission of Great Hearts Texas, these camps aim to foster moral, intellectual, and physical excellence while building strong, supportive athletic communities. Camps also provide scholar-athletes the opportunity to develop friendships, grow in teamwork, and engage meaningfully with peers across our community.

Strength & Conditioning Camp is for rising-scholars in Grades 7-11. Participating athletes will learn the proper techniques for weightlifting and weight room etiquette. They will follow a workout plan, set goals, and work as a team. Specifically, they will work in the following areas: bench press, squats, pull-ups, dips, core/stability, speed and agility, resistant bands, and endurance training. Some plyometrics will be taught as well.

Please note that these are not all-day camps. Upper School camps (grades 6–11) may be offered in either a single session or in two identical sessions—one in the morning and one in the afternoon—so scholars only need to register for one session per day. Other Upper School camps only offer one session.

Athletes need to bring a labeled water bottle every day and must wear athletic tennis shoes.

Strength and Conditioning Camp runs from June 2-June 23rd. Work out days are on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Morning Session hours: 7:30a.m. to 9:00a.m. (Immediately preceding the sport-specific morning athletic camp session.)

Afternoon Session hours: 5:00p.m. to 6:30p.m. (Immediately following the sport-specific afternoon athletic camp session.)

Price and Registration Options:

Weekly: $60*

*weekly cost is $50 when added on to a week of a sport-specific Athletic Summer Camp. Clink HERE to see options.

Monthly: $175 for the month- June or July (8 sessions)

Two Months: $325 for both months- June and July (16 sessions)

Registration Deadlines:

Registration closes at 8:00 PM on the dates listed below for each week. No late registrations will be accepted.

Registration Fee:

In addition to weekly fees, a $15 non-refundable registration fee is required in order to reserve your space in the program. The fee includes one Athletic Summer Camp shirt.

This fee is charged once per athlete per summer.
